
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Upon Hire by the Tucker County Board of Education.
240 Day Contract
FUNCTIONS & DUTIES:
1. Primary responsibility for the accounts payable function, including but not limited to the preparation and processing of purchase orders; accruing, entering, and maintaining records of invoices and accounts payable checks; identification and resolution of discrepancies; ensuring compliance with state purchasing policies including the collection and maintenance of vendor registration documentation
2. Primary responsibility for the purchasing card program
3. Primary responsibility for the purchasing function as assigned by the Treasurer and/or Superintendent including identifying areas of need, soliciting bids, quotes, etc.,
4. Overseeing school accounting including but not limited to coordinating and managing the internal annual review of school financial records; collection and review of monthly and annual financial reports; and assist school financial secretaries as needed
5. Preparing bank reconciliations as well as identifying and investigating discrepancies
6. Preparing state and federal reports as assigned including but not limited to the preparation of 1099's
7. Utilize computer programs to accomplish tasks and improve office efficiency
8. Other duties as assigned by the Treasurer and/or Superintendent as it relates to the finance department
9. Attend state meetings to obtain information regarding accounting procedures and changes
10. Maintains accuracy for work performed, complies with and reviews federal, state, county, and school laws/policies, and completes assigned tasks with minimum supervision

Must pass a background check; Mandatory training sessions.
SALARY:
Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation and established pay schedule.
