The Role

As an Accountant II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc. The position is expected to work from Kolkata location. This role supports teams across multiple time zones and will require working hours aligned to global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure completeness of month end activities including preparation of JE , TB review, variance analysis, Cash & Bank , Fixed Assets, Intercompany reconciliation, validating HFM / FCC forms and preparation of HFM/FCC journals for finalization of books .
  • Preparation and approval of Balance Sheet reconciliations. Identification and understanding the open/reconciling items in reconciliations, investigation and follow-up for resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement – standardization and automation opportunities.
  • Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Budget / Forecast) and provide clear commentary on key drivers.
  • Support business planning , scenario analysis and preparation of management pack
  • Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
  • Performs financial analysis and forecasting exercise using Oracle EPM and FCC for financial consolidation, planning, and forecasting.
  • Liaison with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounting and Reporting team, Location Finance, Controllership, Tax team, , Global Process Owner and Other departments.
  • Support system enhancements, UAT, and automation initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate accounting records for receipts, disbursements , revenue accounting , accruals and other transactions.
  • Strong Governance with Third party service providers and location finance team, to maintain and improve quality of deliverables.
  • Cordinates and conclude internal and external audits.
  • Support the taxation returns , filings and assessments.
  • Strong organizing and workflow management skills, which include establishing priorities and following up on unresolved matters.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Edu. Qualification: Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualifications in Finance.
  • Total Experience: CA 7+ years or equivalent qualifications in Finance.
  • Preferable experience in GCC, Shared service centre, Big 4, Engineering / Oil & Gas industr
  • Experienced in managing complex issues and data, liaising with operations and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Accounting standards and FP&A activities . High Business Acumen to analyse results and business performance
  • Sound knowledge of system tools specifically Oracle,EPM , FCC , Hyperion, Blackline, ServiceNow, MS Excel
