Summary

  • Monitor assigned grant program to ensure expenses are allowable.
  • Prepare payment request and other financial reports as required.
  • Prepare grant budgets and make necessary adjustments.
  • Interact with grant project directors advising them on grant regulations pertaining to budgets, purchasing, personnel and any other accounting-related concerns.
  • Perform administrative duties for grants to included racking of grant development, award, and close out.
  • Prepare quarterly summary reporting and grant work plan schedule.
  • Maintain current listing of all active agency grants and keep grant team updated on potential new grant awards.
  • Assist other grant personnel as required to maintain deadlines, including preparing various closing packages.
  • Maintain records of security bonds to ensure all documentation is received and up to date.
  • Resume preferred but not required.

Examples of duties

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking. A bachelor's degree with multiple accounting courses may be substituted for the required work experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related field.

OR

  • An associate's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and two (2) years of professional experience in a related field

OR

  • A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
