The Tax Accountant – LATAM plays a key role within the Finance organization, supporting tax compliance, reporting, and advisory activities across multiple Latin American countries. This position ensures compliance with local tax regulations while partnering with finance teams and business stakeholders to support operational and strategic decision-making.

The role offers exposure to diverse tax environments across LATAM and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, risk management, and tax optimization initiatives in a dynamic multinational setting.

Main responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns for assigned LATAM countries
  • Ensure timely filing of tax declarations, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other statutory requirements
  • Monitor tax payment schedules and coordinate with Treasury to ensure timely settlements
  • Prepare and maintain tax provision calculations and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local tax regulations and internal policies
  • Provide tax guidance and support on business transactions and operational decisions
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and compliance requirements
  • Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
  • Identify tax optimization opportunities while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
  • Monitor and communicate tax legislation updates and assess business impacts
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance tax processes and controls
  • Support compliance with SOX requirements and internal control standards
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities related to taxes
  • Contribute to system implementations, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects
  • Promote standardization and best practices across tax processes
  • Partner with local Finance teams across LATAM markets
  • Coordinate activities with external tax advisors and consultants
  • Support business functions with tax-related requests and projects
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective tax governance

About you

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in tax accounting, tax compliance, or public accounting, experience working with LATAM tax regulations, preferably including Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, experience in a multinational company or Big Four firm is preferred, experience supporting tax audits and regulatory compliance processes

Soft & Technical skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, adaptability to changing regulations and business environments, ability to work collaboratively across countries, cultures, and time zones, strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex tax topics. Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS, understanding of transfer pricing principles, experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Workday is a plus, advanced Excel and financial analysis skills and familiarity with tax compliance and reporting tools.

Education: High English level required and Spanish required
