About the role

Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

We’re looking for a Corporate Accountant to join QIC’s Finance team in a permanent, full-time role based in Brisbane. Working closely with the Senior Accountant, Corporate, this role supports accurate financial, statutory and management reporting across QIC’s Australian and international corporate entities. You’ll play a key role in month-end processes, financial reporting, taxation and compliance, while contributing to continuous improvement across corporate accounting operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and control accounting records for QIC Australian and international subsidiaries and associates.
  • Support month-end close, including journals, reconciliations and account analysis.
  • Assist with preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reporting.
  • Review corporate payments, receipting processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare taxation records, statutory returns and supporting work papers.
  • Liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve queries.
  • Support compliance with financial policies, delegations and internal controls.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities across accounting and reporting activities.

About you

You will be someone who actively engages with the business, with a passion for bringing numbers to life. You will likely have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce.

  • Completed or studying towards CPA or CA qualification.

  • Experience in a corporate accounting or financial reporting role.

  • Strong technical accounting, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle Financials highly regarded).

  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
