About the Role

We are growing and looking for Accountants to join our Business Services team. You’ll deliver high‑quality, value‑adding work while developing your career in a high‑performing environment.

About the team

BDO’s Business Services division ensure our clients’ success by adding value in every aspect of their business through the provision of world-class tax, compliance and advisory services. Our clients are typically emerging businesses, fast growing corporate groups and high- income/ high-net worth individuals and family groups and range across all industries. Our team offers a range of services to our clients including:

  • Growth advisory

  • Strategic planning

  • Business mentoring

  • Due diligence and transaction related services

  • Accounting and advice

  • Financial modelling

  • Applications for business finance

  • Tax planning and structuring

  • Taxation compliance and advice, including GST

  • Selection and implementation of business information services

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements across various industries in line with regulatory and accounting standards

  • Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, and high net worth individuals

  • Support tax planning activities and assist in preparing advice on business operations and regulatory matters

  • Provide business and tax advisory services, including structuring, improvement, and growth support

  • Prepare Business Activity Statements and complete general business administration

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience in a professional services environment, with a strong interest in tax and advisory

  • Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work effectively across teams while delivering exceptional client service

  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving ability

  • High attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn

  • Working toward or interested in completing a CA or CPA qualification

  • Experience with Advanced Professional Solutions (APS) or Xero (desirable)
