Job Description

We are looking for offshore accountants with
mandatory Australian public practice experience

. Roles will primarily focus on year-end compliance work for Australian clients.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in a
long-term role

and who place value on the team, quality of work, development and stability - not candidates whose primary motivation for moving is simply a salary increase.

Strong written and spoken English is essential for both roles.

Experience

  • Approximately
3–4+ years’ experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm

  • Strong
business services and taxation experience is essential

Expected
technical capability

The Level 2
Accountant should be comfortable preparing year-end compliance work for:

  • Companies

  • Trusts

  • Individuals

  • Business
Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements

  • Financial
    statements

  • Income
    tax returns

  • Supporting
    workpapers and reconciliations

Candidates
should also have practical knowledge of, or meaningful exposure to:

  • Division
    7A

  • Fringe
    Benefits Tax (FBT)

  • Common
    company and trust tax issues

  • Year-end
    tax adjustments and reconciliations

Work will
continue to be reviewed by an Australian team member. However, once you are familiar with their systems, clients and processes, they would expect
the quality of their work and existing technical knowledge to mean that
review
points are relatively limited

.

Our client is looking for someone with a strong technical foundation rather than
someone who requires significant training in core Australian accounting and
taxation concepts.

What we are
looking for

  • Strong
    Australian public practice technical knowledge

  • Ability
to complete year-end compliance work substantially from start to finish

  • Good
judgement and ability to identify matters requiring further consideration

  • Strong
attention to detail and ownership of work

  • Good
    written and spoken English

  • Ability
to communicate clearly with Australian team members

  • Receptive
to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

  • Stable
    employment history

  • Professional
    and reliable

  • Genuine
interest in a long-term position and becoming part of the broader team
