Job Description

Fraport Greece is currently looking to grow the Accounting Department’s team by hiring a caliber Accountant. The ideal candidate will be accountable for the day-to-day processing of the company's expenses, the timely and efficient execution of payments, the agreement of invoices, and the communication and processing of requests from internal and external parties. Moreover, she/he will analyze, reconcile, and monitor the uploaded payables data on the AADE My Data Platform, in which he/she must have experience.

The role is located in our Headquarters in Marousi.

What you will be doing:

  • Register all supplier invoices and employees’ expense claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Process and monitor the invoices linked to purchase orders in SAP MM closely cooperating with relevant departments.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and monitor the uploaded payables data to AADE My Data Platform.
  • Post all Capital Expenditure invoices.
  • Receive and upload the incoming invoices to the ECM platform upon the approval of relevant Departments.
  • Conduct timely registration of bank transactions and attain bank account balance agreements.
  • Perform supplier reconciliations to ensure the correctness of balances.
  • Post accruals for quarterly, monthly, and yearly closing.
  • Generate monthly depreciation postings.
  • Maintain the fixed assets file, and prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation journal entries and reconciliation.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting / Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum five years of professional experience in Accounting.
  • Fluency in Greek and English language (oral and written at a professional corporate level).
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP R/3-Knowledge ( Modules FI ) is mandatory.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications.
  • Fulfilled military obligations (if appropriate).

In tandem with the start-up of its concession for managing the eleven island and the three mainland airports across Greece, Fraport Greece realized a comprehensive plan for the modernization and development of the airports.

Fraport Greece’s innovative €440 million airport development program has significantly transformed these airports. In particular, Fraport Greece has delivered five brand new terminals, expanded and modernized five existing terminals, and upgraded four other terminals. Construction projects at airside operational areas of the regional airports included renovating 12 runways, improving ramp areas, and constructing and renovating 12 fire stations. All of the airports have also been equipped with new state-of-the-art baggage handling and security systems.

The 14 Greek regional airports project is one of the largest and most beneficial investments and is a basis for boosting the Greek economy. Fraport Greece enhances the airports’ international competitiveness by the optimization of operational processes, the modernization and upgrade of the airports’ infrastructure and the continuous training of employees.
