Role: Accountant Assistant

Could you be our new Accountant Assistant?

· Location: Algeciras office.

· Department / team: Finance

· Employment Type: Full-time

· Key Tech/Tools: Microsoft office

What will your day at GAC look like?

· Manage supplier payments in different currencies.

· Process and record supplier invoices accurately and on time.

· Carry out bank reconciliations and keep financial records up to date.

· Monitor and respond to finance-related email communications.

· Follow accounting procedures, internal controls and company policies.

· Support data quality, document management and record keeping.

· Work with colleagues and external suppliers to resolve queries and payment or invoice discrepancies.

· Support compliance checks, including sanctions screening and supplier verification.

· Maintain accurate filing and archiving of financial documents.

· Assist with other finance and administrative tasks as needed.

What are we looking for?

· A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or at least three years of relevant finance experience.

· Fluent written and spoken English.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
