Your Mission

Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for an Accountant and Finance Officerwho will contribute to BDF’s overall mission and provide specialized support for workers and their families who reside in construction camps.

Job Title: Accountant and Finance Officer

Type of Contract:Full-time employment position (with open end contract)

Department:Finance Department

Location:Chaingmai, Thailand

Expected Start Date:15 June 2026 or ASAP

The Employee will be under the direct supervision of Baan Dek Foundation’s Accounts Manager.

The main responsibilities of The Employee and will include, but are not restricted to, the following:

1. Finance and cash handling

   1. Work together with the Finance Department to handle disbursement of advances and reimbursements of cash to staff

   2. Ensure the receipt and financial practices are aligned to Thai Law and transparent ethical standards

   3. Support in preparing tax and social security documents and procedures

   4. Maintain the accounts for all payments made and liaising with staff and suppliers as necessary

   5. Support in processing quotations along with the requirements indicated in the financial policies

   6. Support in verifying financial statements and in the relations to the accounting and audit companies

2. Support of Reporting and Budgeting

   1. Support of the Finance Department to prepare financial budgets for proposals and financial reports to donors

The employee shall observe the organization's values and objectives and will commit to facilitate all procedures and on-field activities for a sound management of Baan Dek Foundation’s programs.

COMPLEMENTARY SUPPORT:

• Work closely with the team in the development of requested communication, financial, activities, etc.

• Support in the promotion of a constructive and productive working environment among the team. Actively support information sharing, transparency and dialogue among the staff and with beneficiaries of all projects.

• Support BDF’s field programs by participating in field activities where possible.

• Represent Baan Dek Foundation upon request by welcoming, presenting Baan Dek programs and activities to visiting partners & sponsors as well as liaising with external stakeholders and presenting BDF programs and activities when requested.

Your Profile

QUALIFICATIONS

Nationality: Thai nationality

Language requirements: Good command of written and spoken English and Thai

Education/ Experience:

●Studies: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Finance and Accountancy field is a minimum requirement or a similar background

●Working knowledge and skills: Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel

●Professional experience Min. 1 year of experience in Finance and Accountancy field

Other skills and competencies:

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including experience working in a cross-cultural and international environment.

• Diligent and structured way of working

• Demonstrated strong project management skills

• Able to work independently when needed and within a team

• Highly motivated, flexible and interested in social enterprise activities

Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evenings

Salary & Compensation: To be defined based on experience and qualifications
