The Accountant for Accounts Receivable ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Accounts Receivable transactions in accordance with performance and quality standards defined in relevant service level agreements.
The Accountant reports to the respective Team Lead Accounts Receivable.
Supports the day to day Accounts Receivable operations for the following process areas:
Contributes to the processing of receipts (processing of electronic bank statements and cash allocation/dispute management)
Performs credit control activities (dunning and value adjustments/write offs)
Customer Account maintenance and periodic closing
Ensures the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro AG of agreed policies and procedures.
Understands service level agreements and key performance indicators for Accounts Receivable related processes.
Contributes to the continuous maintenance and the update of Accounts Receivable process activities and procedures.
Supports team members to achieve performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.
Assists and drives continuous improvements and the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Accounts Receivable transaction processing.
Acts as a role model in line with company values and culture by willingly helping and sharing knowledge within the team and the organization and supporting friendly and healthy work environment.
Other tasks based on superior request.
The minimum base salary is 1650 EUR and can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
Degree in Economics or Business Administration preferably major in accounting.
Approximately 2-3 years of experience in the area of Accounting.
Experienced in Accounts Receivable processes in a complex and international business environment.
Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting end-to-end processes.
Work experience with SAP and typical other IT-tools as a plus.
Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure.
Acts as a role model by being a strong team-player.
Ability to adapt to new culture and people.
Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Strong communication skills
