As an Accountant with Koch Refining International Pte Ltd, you will play an important role in supporting treasury operations, financial accounting and statutory compliance across Singapore and China. You will take ownership of key accounting activities, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls, and identify opportunities to improve and automate processes.

This role is suited to someone who brings broad accounting experience, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regional and multicultural environment.

Our Team

The KAES Asia Accounting team serves as a trusted partner to businesses across Singapore and China, providing timely support grounded in local knowledge and regional expertise. The team delivers essential operational services, including payment processing and treasury activities, while supporting compliance obligations such as GST filings and statutory submissions.

What You Will Do

• Take ownership of daily treasury operations, ensuring effective cash positioning and the timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Lead full-cycle accounting for the China entities, covering accounts payable and payment activities, as well as the reconciliation of local GAAP reporting with internal accounting records.
• Drive a high-quality month-end close by preparing accurate and timely local GAAP adjustments.
• Maintain the integrity of financial records by completing thorough and accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Own GST filings and statutory submissions for the Singapore entities, ensuring accuracy, timely completion and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Champion smarter ways of working by streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency and bringing automation opportunities to life.
• Safeguard strong governance by ensuring adherence to company policies, accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, with at least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to support accounting activities and communication with stakeholders in China.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse and multicultural audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
