About the Role

We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Accountant to join our finance team, with a primary focus on payroll and accounts payable. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys process accuracy, compliance and building strong relationships across the business, with genuine scope to grow their career within the finance function.

This is a full time, permanent role, Monday - Friday, based in our Head Office in Perth CBD.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing and management of payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and awards
  • Oversight of accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments and reconciliations
  • Maintaining payroll records, superannuation, PAYG and other statutory obligations
  • Reconciling AP and payroll accounts as part of month-end close
  • Liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
  • Assisting with audits, reporting and process improvements
  • Supporting broader finance and accounting functions as required, with opportunities to expand into wider areas of the business over time

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Minimum 2-3 years proven experience in payroll and accounts payable (essential)
  • Relevant accounting qualification (or working towards one) highly regarded
  • Knowledge of payroll compliance and relevant legislation
  • High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Proficiency with accounting/payroll software (Trimble Vista preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with an interest in developing broader accounting and finance skills
