Job Description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join their team and oversee a broad range of financial operations, including month-end closing, management reporting, credit control, payroll and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run the month-end close: accounting entries, reconciliations, monthly management accounts and cash flow reporting
- Bank reconciliations and preparation of payments for approval
- Issue sales invoices and check supplier, agent and carrier invoices
- Credit control: agree credit terms with customers, monitor balances against those terms, and follow up on overdue invoices
- VAT and Social Insurance returns, monthly payroll, budgets and audit support
- Deputise for the Accounting Manager, and take over the department in due course
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACCA / CIMA / CPA, qualified or well advanced towards qualification
- At least 3 years' relevant experience
- Sound knowledge of Cyprus VAT, payroll and social insurance obligations
- Fluent Greek and English
- Confident with Microsoft Office and ability to quickly pick-up in-house systems
