Role Purpose

To undertake accounting activities accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial transactions and records are maintained promptly and in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and management requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all accounting transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and on a timely basis.
• Review financial statements and accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and accountability.
• Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with management requirements and audit standards.
• Ensure financial records are properly organized and maintained to provide a clear and easily auditable trail.
• Regularly review accounting books, ledgers, statements, and financial systems to ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and provide timely financial reports and information as required by management.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Recommend best practices and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of accounting operations.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve revenue, and contribute to overall profitability.
• Manage and follow best practices for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions to support a healthy cash flow cycle.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for company bank accounts.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding or long-aged reconciliation items in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounting transactions and identify discrepancies, errors, or unusual items for investigation.
• Maintain proper documentation and supporting records for financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records, schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accounting activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable financial requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.
• Ensure the required quality and quantity of work are consistently achieved.
• Contribute to the achievement of company strategic goals and objectives.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Accountant.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a structured corporate environment.

Education:

University Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

Professional Certification:

CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA qualification is preferred.

Accounting Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Experience with general ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliation.
• Good understanding of financial reporting and accounting controls.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Strong attention to financial accuracy and documentation.

Software & Systems:

Proficient in MS Office and experienced with accounting/ERP systems such as SAP or other ERP platforms.

Languages:

Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is preferred.
