The Accountant is responsible for supporting the organization's day-to-day accounting operations by ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions and records. This role plays a key part in cash application, accounts payable support, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, audit preparation, and financial reporting. The Accountant collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment and reconciliation issues while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Accounts Receivable & Cash Applications: Apply daily customer payments accurately and in a timely manner. Research and resolve unapplied, misapplied, short-paid, and overpaid customer payments. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all cash application activities.
• Accounts Payable Support: Assist with processing vendor bills, including coding invoices, matching supporting documentation, and entering transactions into the accounting system. Support vendor statement reconciliations and assist in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• General Ledger & Month-End Close: Assist with month-end close activities, including general ledger account reconciliations, account analysis, and investigation of reconciling items between the general ledger and supporting records.
• Audit & Compliance: Maintain organized accounting records and audit-ready documentation. Support internal and external audit requests and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Reporting & Special Projects: Prepare and support ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as assigned by the Accounting team. Identify and help resolve accounting issues to support accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.
