Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and hands-on work? SAMCO is looking for an Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations while supporting payroll, benefits, reporting, and key business functions.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, reconciliations, cash management, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, trial balances, and supporting schedules.
  • Support year-end close, audit preparation, tax reporting, 1099 processing, and external CPA requests.
  • Assist with budget tracking, cash flow reporting, variance review, and financial analysis.
  • Administer payroll through Paychex Flex and serve as the main contact for payroll questions.
  • Support benefits administration, onboarding, payroll deductions, and confidential employee records.
  • Maintain accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation.
  • Support daily operations, including vendor and customer accounts, billing and payment questions, deposits, W-9s, and sales/use tax filings.

  • A self-directed work style and the ability to build positive relationships across the organization.

The Work Environment

This is a full-time, onsite role in a small-office setting with a traditional Monday through Friday schedule.
