We currently have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting our portfolio of Retirement Villages across New South Wales and the ACT. Working closely with your colleagues, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of financial accounting, compliance, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete month-end processes, including journal preparation and posting.
Prepare monthly balance sheet and revenue reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with corporate controls, policies, and governance standards.
Assist with external audit preparation and audit requirements.
Support and lead finance process improvement initiatives.
Identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive resolutions through to completion.
Provide support to the broader Finance team as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation in line with internal policies and audit requirements.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
CA or CPA qualification (or currently working towards certification), together with a relevant Finance, Accounting, or Commerce degree.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
High levels of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience with Power BI reporting and dashboard development.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
