Position Summary
The Accountant supports the financial operations of Urology Clinics of North Texas (UCNT) by maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting for a multi-location healthcare organization.
This role plays a key part in the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including preparation and review of financial data used to support physician compensation and bonus calculations. The position works closely with Finance and Accounting Leadership to ensure financial accuracy, maintain internal controls, and support operational and financial reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Ledger Accounting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and proper classification
- Maintain supporting documentation for accounting entries
Financial Close & Reporting
- Assist with month-end close procedures
- Support quarter-end financial close activities
- Prepare financial schedules and supporting reports
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
Physician Compensation Support
- Assist in preparation of financial data used for quarterly physician bonus and compensation calculations
- Compile and review financial information related to provider productivity and compensation metrics
- Ensure financial accuracy and consistency of data used in compensation reporting
Reconciliations & Financial Controls
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation and audit trails
- Support implementation and adherence to internal financial controls
Accounting Systems
- Maintain financial records using Sage Intacct
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of accounting system data
- Assist with financial reporting and data extraction from accounting systems
Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Maintain financial documentation required for audits and financial reviews
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies and accounting standards

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment supporting the financial operations of a multi-location healthcare organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, physician practice, or medical group accounting
- Experience supporting physician compensation or productivity reporting
- Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Experience supporting multi-location healthcare organizations
- CPA or CPA-track candidates preferred but not required
