Job Description

The Alinea Group seeks a full-time staff accountant to join our Accounting team. We are passionate about innovation in culinary arts, service, and business operations. The ideal candidate for this business team role has extraordinary attention to detail, maintains pristine records, problem solves, and works well on a team.

Responsibilities

• Sales Reconciliation: Enter and track daily sales data for all restaurant entities, reconciling against POS systems and reservation platforms

• General Ledger Management: Perform daily bookkeeping tasks and maintain the general ledger to ensure data integrity.

• Month-End Close: Assist with month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures, ensuring deadlines are met

• Process Improvement: Identify and help implement process improvements and cost-saving efficiencies

• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

• Uphold high standards of professionalism and communication

• Work under the guidance of business team leadership

• Other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1 to 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a professional setting.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets

• Working knowledge of US GAAP and basic accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of confidentiality regarding sensitive financial information.

• Exempt salaried position: $55,000 - $65,000 base salary
