Job Description

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, process systems, turboexpanders, services, and solutions for the liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied hydrogen (LH2), and industrial gases industries. Applications include fueling stations, marine engines, peak shaving, power generation, virtual pipelines, carbon capture, geothermal power and well stimulation. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant responsibilities include reviewing employee expense reports assisting with various accounting tasks including AP AR bank accounts and other general accounts reconciliations and many different financial reports. The role will also be responsible for providing timely reconciliations and accurate financial reports and cost analyses required by the manager.

Pay range: $65,000 - $113,000

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Review and reconcile employees expense reports between Concur and company credit card statement and prepare and post the journal entries into ERP.
  • Assist with reviewing AP invoices from vendors reconcile them with the PO prepare and post AP entries into ERP and make the proper filing.
  • Assist with preparing and posting AR entries on cash receipts from customers.
  • Assist with preparing bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
  • Assist with monitoring and analyzing price variances in P&L investigating the root causes.
  • Assist with month-end closings including many financial reports required by manager.
  • Assist with preparing sales tax and other related documents performing the reconciliation.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory data in ERP with actual counting results to make sure there are no discrepancies or variances.
  • Perform research and analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines company policies and Sox internal control requirements.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting required by Nikkiso and various ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Utilize computer applications to compile retrieve and summarize accounting information for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Document processes and write working procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Competencies (knowledge skills and abilities)

  • Familiarity with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to conduct research and analysis.
  • Exposure to various ERP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP is preferred.
  • Previous conversion experience to new software.
  • Intermediate Excel competency is required.
  • Working knowledge of financial strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to deliver quality results in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Goal oriented and self-starter.
  • Able to tabulate statistical data and compile necessary reports.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills is required.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills required.
  • Able to work with all departments with professionalism.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting. or related field is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel is necessary.
  • ractical accounting experience preferred.
