The Jr. Accountant is responsible for helping to build and improve the general ledger and financial reporting processes and transforming the financial closing process to support a rapidly growing and evolving business. This position is also responsible for driving ongoing accounting and financial reporting, will perform various ad-hoc analyses and projects which drive key strategic decisions. Key areas of responsibility include accounts receivable, intangibles, inventory, purchase price accounting, rent, fixed assets, goodwill, accruals, sales and use tax, and bank reconciliations.
Major Responsibilities
· Update and maintain individual account reconciliations and ensure that accounts tie to the general ledger, that balances are justified, supported, reasonable and properly classified/compliant with GAAP guidelines for financial reporting.
· Build and maintain detailed and summarized P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements and supporting schedules.
· Respond to audit, tax, and compliance requests.
· Research and assist with the build-out of the financial reporting software ERP.
· Ad-Hoc and miscellaneous accounting/finance projects.

Minimum Qualifications
· BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar required (CPA or on-track is a must)
· Experience with Microsoft Office, Financial Reporting, and General Ledger accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central, Hyperion Essbase, Blackline, Workiva, or similar).
· Minimum 2-3 years in a General Ledger Accounting or Financial Accounting role, at a high-growth multi-channel retailer, high transactional business; PE backed a plus
· Advanced level Excel skills including experience using VLookups and pivot tables.
