Job Description

Eagers Automotive are looking for a professional and efficient Accountant to join our Osborne Park office. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys being involved in dealership operations and working closely with management in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Reporting, and working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business, partnering with dealership leaders and a wider network of experienced automotive accountants. Previous dealership experience would be highly regarded; however, the right attitude and a strong willingness to learn will set you up for success in this role.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policy
• Year End and Half Year End file preparation
• FBT file preparation
• Resolve financial queries from dealership management
• Manage dealership cash flow
• Assist the Financial Controller with day-to-day administration operations, including accounts payable and receivable
• Oversee clerical staff within the Administration Department when required
• Manage fixed assets, including additions and disposals
• Prepare monthly BAS returns
• Assist with monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes

What you need:

• Completed Accounting qualification
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Ideally you will have 1-2 years experience working towards your CA/CPA but not essential
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• A positive, can-do attitude and enjoyment working as part of a team
• Experience using Pentana ERA will be highly regarded but is not essential
• Full Australian working rights
