Accountant

We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and reliable Accountant to join our healthcare organization in Lekki. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

The successful candidate must possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions
• 
  Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
• 
  Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently
• 
  Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities
• 
  Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and promptly
• 
  Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning
• 
  Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and statutory regulations
• 
  Support payroll processing and salary reconciliation
• 
  Monitor and track operational expenses and financial performance
• 
  Assist with audit preparations and provide required documentation when necessary
• 
  Maintain proper filing and accounting systems for all financial records
• 
  Prepare and remit tax deductions and statutory payments where applicable
• 
  Work closely with management to improve financial efficiency and reporting processes
• 
  Identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues promptly
• 
  Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel effectively for reporting and analysis

Requirements & Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 
  Minimum of 2–3 years' accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare sector
• 
  Candidate must have completed NYSC
• 
  Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• 
  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is mandatory
• 
  Experience using accounting tools such as Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar software is highly preferred
• 
  Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• 
  Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
• 
  Good communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
• 
  High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• 
  ICAN ATS (Intermediate Stage) or ongoing ICAN qualification is an added advantage

Preferred Skills

• 
  Knowledge of healthcare financial operations and billing processes
• 
  Experience with payroll administration and tax compliance
• 
  Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
