About the Client

Our client is an accounting and bookkeeping services provider delivering reliable financial solutions with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is looking to grow their expertise while working in a structured and quality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (Xero)
• Handle daily transactions, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations
  
• Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Prepare basic financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Support tax-related tasks such as BAS, IAS, and other compliance requirements
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and internal processes
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations

Requirements

• Part qualification or degree in Accounting / Finance (CA / ACCA / CPA – part qualified or pursuing)
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping for Australian clients
• Basic knowledge of GST, BAS, payroll, and tax compliance
• Familiarity with Xero (experience with Odoo/BGL is a plus)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong English communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently
