Labcorp is seeking a Accountant - India Legal Entities to join our team at Bangalore in Bangalore, ST.

Work Schedule

Bangalore office based, General shift

Job Responsibilities

• R2R (Record to Report) Responsibilities for India legal entities

• Financial accounting, Tax compliances, Controllership activities – US GAAP, India GAAP, GST, WHT, Corporate Tax, Statutory Audits, IA, Internal controls, Tax assessments etc.,

• Reporting to Finance Director, India Controllership

• Monthly book closing for US GAAP for India legal entities – in ERP system (PeopleSoft)

• Monthly Variance Analysis of PnL, Balance Sheet, taking appropriate actions

• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for all legal entities

• Provide full explanations, calculations, supporting documentation and schedules for all reconciliations

• Ensure all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner

• Communicate any process shortcomings or accounting control weaknesses identified

• Review, input and post monthly journals, as needed

• Review and ensure timely reconciliation of fixed assets sub-ledger and work with Asset

• Management team to resolve differences on a timely manner

• Working with multiple Internal stakeholders including Shared Services groups for month close, reporting and various accounting, controllership activities

• Maintaining Statutory books for India legal entities

• GST Returns filing, WHT taxes Returns on a periodical basis (Monthly, quarterly, annual)

• Handling Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Internal Financial Control activities

• Responsible for GST Audits, Income Tax assessments, Responding and acting on Notices from

• GST, Income Tax authorities, supporting the Finance Director

• Monthly Cash flow management

• Export Invoicing, Intercompany reconciliations and timely payments/receipts as per FEMA Regulations

• Liaising with Banker, External Auditor, Tax consultants

• Effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders for role related

• Any other as required by the role and controllership department

Minimum Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant with 5-7 years’ experience in finance and accounting in US MNC subsidiaries, Compliance, Internal Controls

• Hands on working knowledge in ERP systems, especially PeopleSoft

• Should have partnered with Shared Services (Internal, External COEs)

• Strong accounting, tax, compliance, reporting skills

• Experience in handling External Audits, Internal Audits and Internal Financial Controls

• Hands on experience in MS Office, especially High XL skills

• Very good communication skills, self-starter, presentation

• Working knowledge of GST, Income Tax (Corporate Tax & WHT)

• Hands on working knowledge US GAAP and India GAAP

• Working knowledge on Indian Companies Act 2013

Preferred Qualifications

Controllership Experience is preferred
