Rogers Group is currently seeking an Accountant for our Middle Tennessee operations. The candidate will report to the Columbia, TN office daily. The position reports to the Area Controller. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead safety, quality, and revenue generation throughout our existing operations and additional operations through growth.

Job Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in accounting functions of the Middle Tennessee operations including month-end close, financial analysis, accounts payable, inventory management, and other reporting as required by management.

• Maintaining effective internal controls and insuring adherence to corporate policies & procedures.

• Performance of timely variance analyses.

• Position will support local field operations.

• Provide management with independent, forward-looking financial & operational insights.

• Administering company accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

• Maintaining all financial records as well as reporting on regional performance.

• Assist with cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and procedural controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA eligibility a plus

• 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.

• Strong Excel skills (ability to work with large data sets, basic formulas, and analysis).

• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis concepts preferred.

• Ability to assist with variance analysis and identify trends in financial results.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.

• Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.
