The Plant Controller position, for the Monterrey plant, will be responsible for providing cost analysis and audit support for the Connectivity business unit related to the Monterrey Plant, managing the close process and communicating results to the management team; Additional responsibilities include performing inventory and fixed asset management activity and performing financial statement analysis.

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the preparation and approval of balance sheet reconciliations related to the Monterrey Plant.
• Must be able to travel between Monterrey and the US (South Carolina) for cross-training during the first few months. Important to meet the AFL Finance and Accounting teams as part of on-boarding and transition into AFL.
• Finance resource for the plant with regards to accounting/assets/purchasing/tax or customs related topics.
• Coordinate all physical inventories for the Monterrey and Laredo facilities as required. Manage the cycle counting processes for the facilities today.

Technical Knowledge: Strong communication (verbal as well as written) and problem-solving skills are required as well. Must be result and detailed oriented. English Level B2.

Experience: 5-7 years experience in general and cost accounting

Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance is required. As certification such as a CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred.
