About the Role
We are seeking a senior-level, hands-on Accountant who can independently manage daily accounting operations while supporting project-based accounting and financial reporting. This role does not involve people management and is well-suited for a detail-oriented professional comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations (50%)
- Maintain a full set of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Manage the general ledger, bank reconciliations, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, processes, and procedures in line with company standards and accounting regulations.
- Oversee project-related accounting records, including development costs, construction expenses, and fixed assets.
- Ensure proper documentation, organization, and filing of all accounting records.
Project Accounting & Reporting (30%)
- Work closely with project teams to support financial tracking and cost control of development projects.
- Develop and maintain project reporting structures, including reporting formats and timelines.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and assist in identifying and explaining variances.
- Prepare basic project financial reports and analyze key financial KPIs.
- Support cash flow monitoring related to project expenditures.
Tax, Audit & Compliance Support (20%)
- Support external auditors and tax auditors by preparing schedules, explanations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and internal control procedures.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, auditors, and relevant authorities as required.
- Prepare tax calculations and statutory filings, including VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial information.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
- Open to all nationalities; Cambodian nationals are preferred.
Languages:
- Knowledge of Khmer or Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage but not required.
