Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting activities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts in line with the schools requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and school policies.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Oversee tuition fee collections and related transactions.
• Liaise with school management and external auditors during audits.
• Support financial planning for school events and activities.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience:
  • Proven experience in accounting (preferably in a school or educational setting).
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of accounting practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with managing tuition fees and school business operations.
• Languages:
  • Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Educational Background:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
