Job Description

The Accountant 3 is responsible for consolidated (system-wide) reporting for FMOLHS, and preparation of consolidated financial entries and reconciliations.

  1. Financial Statement Preparation
  2. Prepares assigned journal entries accurately and timely
  3. Ensures accuracy of complex system-wide financial statement journal entries, including long term debt, equity investments, short term investments, and long term investments.
  4. Reconciliation Analysis
  5. Prepared assigned reconciliations accurately and timely, including bank, bond, and investment reconciliations.
  6. Prepares variance analysis (to budget and prior periods) for quarterly FMOLHS financials. Accountant attends quarterly meetings with System CFO, Accounting Director and Accounting Manager to review and explain variances.
  7. Accurately and timely prepares cash forecast for FMOLHS operating account for system CFO
  8. Financial Reporting
  9. Works directly with external auditors for year-end audit schedules for bonds, investments, and other reporting requirements
  10. Prepare the quarterly packets for FMOLHS Finance Committee and FMOLHS investment committee timely and accurately
  11. Responsible for development of consolidated financial reporting in EPSI (Allscripts)
  12. Prepares all external surveys, including CHA, timely and accurately
  13. Other Duties
  14. Works directly with Accounting Director on system-wide projects and reporting
  15. Ensures eliminating entries and intercompany entries are accurate, and coordinates invoicing of expensed incurred between facilities

5 years of accounting/finance exp

Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance
