Job Description

The Accountant 2 provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepares financial reports.

1. General Ledger Activities
2. Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries for assigned companies and general ledger accounts timely and accurately
3. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
4. Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing financial statements and other reports, and ensures deadlines are met monthly, quarterly and at year end close
5. Prepares federal, state, and local reports including annual and monthly sales tax returns
6. Maintains financial security by following internal controls
7. Performs other general ledger activity as assigned
8. Reconciliation/Analysis/ Projects
9. Reconciles balances of assigned asset and liability accounts
10. Identifies and analyzes significant fluctuations in asset and liability account balances to ensure accuracy of financial records
11. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
12. Prepares various monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliations
13. Prepares annual audit schedules for external auditors timely and accurately
14. Assist with various accounting projects, including expense allocations, leased property and reporting activities

• 3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in finance field
