Job Description

Objective

Our client an MNC shipping company is looking for an Accountant you will play a crucial role in supporting the Finance Manager and Senior Accountant by managing and reviewing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and timely submission of financial data.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare subsidiaries' management accounts
• Compile group consolidation reports
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and adjustments
• Provide detailed financial analysis, variance explanations, and insights
• Approve documents in ERP systems according to workflow processes
• Handle GST review and submissions
• Coordinate and act as liaison with auditors during audits
• Resolve audit queries and manage audit timelines efficiently
• Prepare financial statements, audit reports, and notes to accounts
• Support annual returns and statutory filings
• Prepare tax schedules and assist with corporate tax filings
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation
• Contribute to system implementations
• Provide administrative support and additional ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience managing full set of accounts across multiple entities
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and terminology
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
• Strong numerical aptitude and experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
