We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Partner to join our expanding Accountancy & Advisory team in Cheltenham.

Cheltenham is a strategically important market within those plans and, following the significant success we have already achieved in the region, we are looking for an exceptional individual to help further develop our presence, reputation and market share across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.

Leading an already strong team, you will promote best practice to deliver proactive, relationship-led advisory services to our corporate clients.

Within this role, you will be encouraged to identify potential improvements and contribute ideas that will not only help shape the future strategy of our Cheltenham and Gloucestershire Business Unit but also our Accountancy & Advisory service line firmwide.

You will need to be a strategic thinker and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of developing new business opportunities through leveraging your network and building trusted client relationships.

We are open to receiving applications from individuals currently working within industry who are keen to return to a practice environment.

Working closely with our Partners, you will look to grow the portfolio of clients and seek to improve the overall client service delivery and experience, whilst helping us achieve our ambitious long-term growth plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading our Cheltenham team, coaching our people so that they can reach their potential and succession planning.
• Building strong relationships with our owner-managed business clients and ensuring that we continue to offer a quality trusted adviser service.
• Playing a pivotal role in business development activities and building, developing and retaining a strong network of local contacts to support continued growth across the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire markets.
• Winning new client work and growing your portfolio.
• Monitoring developments in the accounting marketplace to help retain competitiveness and efficiency of service provision.
• Helping shape and deliver the strategic growth plans for both the Cheltenham office and the wider Accountancy & Advisory service line.

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you'll be:

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience of working within a business services environment.
• A strong business developer who is keen to build contacts and network within the local business community.
• Ability to win new client work and grow a portfolio.
• A commercially-minded leader who can identify opportunities, build trusted relationships and contribute to long-term business growth.
• A great people manager who enjoys developing and coaching their team.
• Highly commercial with the drive and ambition to contribute towards Bishop Fleming's growth journey and future success.
