This is a full-time non-exempt position

The Account Specialist is an integral part of the ADM Origination Team and will have a core focus on providing support for all of the producer facing business functions. You will assist the Regional Team in meeting its origination goals and providing ADM’s customer with the highest level of service.

What You’ll Do:
Provide outstanding customer service to our producer customers and manage transactional producer accounts. A heavy emphasis will be placed on fostering relationships and supporting your origination teammates. Other significant duties include as follows:

  • Lead all contract related tasks including entry, pricing, signature maintenance, past-due deliveries/terms, non-traditional contract expiration awareness and any state related documentation requirements for unpriced grain contracts
  • Handle accounting details for each customer including farm splits, grain application and settlement direction efficiently and accurately
  • Engage with our customer base by answering inbound phone calls, providing account information, and purchasing multiple commodities in multiple locations
  • Address any customer accounting questions, concerns or mistakes promptly and professionally
  • Maintain and communicate critical location specific information to customers regarding bids, hours and other significant announcements
  • Enter and maintain offers and hedges for grain purchases as needed
  • Understand and articulate discount schedules, by commodity, to customers as needed
  • Develop an understanding of ADM’s producer contract portfolio
  • Maintain up to 100 transactional accounts
  • Support regen ag programs by helping with reporting and data collection

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of the farming/agriculture industry is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to learn and understand new software or other applications necessary to perform essential responsibilities authoritatively
  • High attention to detail, well-organized and effective time management skills are imperative
  • Ability to be accurate and timely in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work as a team and develop and implement new processes and procedures
  • Strong communication internally and externally is vital to the success of this role
  • Interact in a consistently professional and positive manner with various internal and external personnel
  • Proficient in internal and external software systems including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum of 1-3 years quality work experience.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$45,700.00 - $85,000.00
