  • Building relationships with schools and public sector organisations to understand their procurement requirements.

  • Advising customers on suitable framework solutions and available supplier options.

  • Preparing quotations and helping customers identify the most appropriate solutions for their needs.

  • Developing new business opportunities within your allocated customer base and geographical area.

  • Growing a pipeline of opportunities through proactive customer engagement and account development.

  • Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues effectively.

  • Maintaining accurate customer records and activity using internal systems.

  • Providing regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline performance and account growth.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in account management, business development, sales or customer relationship management.

  • A track record of building and growing customer relationships.

  • Strong communication, listening and relationship-building skills.

  • The ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Experience working towards targets and managing a pipeline of opportunities.

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Confidence when speaking with customers by telephone and video call.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • A self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to work independently.

  • Experience working with schools, education settings or public sector customers would be advantageous but is not essential

What you’ll get in return

  • Salary of £29,000 per annum.

  • Commission opportunity of up to £8,000 per year for achieving annual targets.

  • 25 days annual leave, rising to 27 after four years.

  • Birthday Day Off.

  • One concessionary day during the Christmas period.

  • Pension scheme with employer contribution.

  • Life assurance cover.

  • Access to Learning & Development opportunities via our CSG Academy.

  • Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home.
