Job Description
Our Account Servicing Specialist is a key member of the credit union's member services team. Through various communication channels, including phone and text, the selected candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional account servicing support to credit union members, various departments, and branches. This role involves handling a diverse range of specialized accounts and tasks related to deceased accounts, IRAs, credit bureau disputes, and other account-related matters.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNT SERVICING SPECIALIST INCLUDES:
• Provide comprehensive account servicing support to credit union members, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns.
• Open and service IRA, HSA, and Trust accounts. Monitor transaction activity to ensure proper processing and coding, balancing distributions, and contributions for tax reporting purposes.
• Work in quality assurance capacity to monitor, follow-up, and track audit, production, and transaction reports, outages, and functionality of assigned systems.
• Assist with special projects such as but not limited to opening products during promotions, mass compliance issues, and product additions or deletions
• Serve as Shared Branch contact and liaison to handle disputes, adjustments, reporting, and branch updates with the Accounting Department to ensure entries are in balance.
ACCOUNT SERVICING SPECIALIST SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• 2 years of similar or related experience in servicing accounts within a financial institution
• A high school education or GED.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
