Job Description

This position offers a hybrid/remote schedule.

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Supports accurate billing and revenue capture by reviewing patient encounters, charges, and documentation in the patient accounting system. Works daily from assigned work queues to research issues, correct account data, and ensure encounters are complete and ready for billing. Helps reduce billing delays and errors by identifying problems, correcting information, and communicating with billing and clinical teams as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School or GED required.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of hospital or professional billing years required.
  • Medical terminology experience required.
