TheAccount Representativeis responsible fortheservice,renewaland retention of an assignedbook of businessinthesmall group eligible market This roleprovidesa broad spectrum of internal support to the Existing Business Account Executives,as well asperformingday-to-day administrativefunctions, whichsupport Health NewEngland’s clients,brokersand internal customers.
The Account Representativecontributesto the overall success of theSalesDepartmentensuring specific individual goals, plans,andinitiatives are executedanddelivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectivesThe Account Representativeis responsible formaintainingand adhering to internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and following Health New England’s entity level policies and procedures. The positionis responsible forreporting unethical or fraudulent activity related to business operations and adhering to Health New England’s Code of Conduct

Responsible for account renewals in the regulated marketin the following ways:
Meet or exceed goals for account retention and growth in the small group market
Recommend HNE plans and/or riders to best meet client's needs
Ensure that all HNE accounts receivea high levelof service
Provide resolution of group issues through research and recommendations
Cultivate and sustain professional broker and employer relationships
Promote,manageand attend employer group benefit presentationsand other in-person meetings as needed
Keep abreast of insurance regulations and mandates on the local,stateand Federal level
Provide internal support to the Existing Business Account Executives
Respond to employer and broker inquiries for all assigned accounts
Ownrenewal process, reporting requests,and sales events/open enrollments as neededon all assigned accounts
Responsible for materials fulfillment requests
Handle all materials requests with internal and external vendors such as pre-enrollment materialsSummary ofBenefitsCoverage (SBC), Explanation of Coverage (EOC)etc.
Provide Team and Company Support
Represent the Sales department in workgroups and committee
Education / Experience / Other Information(include only those that are specific to the role)
Associates Degree in Business or Marketingand more than 2years’ experiencein sales or customer service, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Health Insurance background
Strong Interpersonal skills
Excellent oral & written communication skills
Computer skills:MSSuite, Salesforce
Team player
Massachusetts Life & Health Producers license (or ability to be licensed)

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
