
About the role:
This role sits within the regional Finance Business Services team, a centralized platform that integrates transactional finance activities across Asia to drive efficiency, consistency, and strong business support within a modern ERP environment. The Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality finance operations, with a primary focus on the Thailand market, while partnering closely with the cluster Finance Manager. This position also offers regional exposure and opportunities to contribute to process excellence and continuous improvement.

Reporting to our cluster Finance Managers – Accounts Payable/Receivable and the incumbent will be responsible to perform the operation processing in Thailand markets:
Perform daily defined AP processing tasks based on identified job scope for transactional processing and accounting activities such as invoice posting, payment processing, the preparation of the appropriate offsetting entries and appropriate documentation. Understand hand-offs between individuals / systems and interfaces
Handle complex enquiries and cases from external parties (e.g. vendors) and business users. Be able to diagnose root causes.
Be one of super users in certain areas or system & be able to provide corresponding training.
Practice CHANEL’s internal controls (manual and automated) at transactional level
Monitor and escalate any inappropriate behavior or activities, including professional or ethical misconduct and non-compliance with company policies, in accordance with established procedures.
Assist the Senior Accountant or Finance manager to drive for process efficiency & trade working capital improvement.
Provide constructive suggestions in regional or global project.
Provide system training to business users in the relevant processes and support AR or other related operational tasks as assigned.

What you will bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3+ years of experience preferably AP function or a related field from multinational work environment. Shared service centre experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay processes; broader finance exposure is an advantage
Proficient in English and Thai with good communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
Open and comfortable to start on a 1-year contract first.
