Primary Purpose: The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing the Coach Wholesale business for Leather Goods in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Scandinavia. The Account Manager will act as the main point of contact for the brand and design and execute growth strategies for the region.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Wholesale Sales to:

  • Develop and manage key and independent wholesale accounts across Northern Europe, building strong relationships through weekly or bi-weekly trade calls, tailored to each account’s needs
  • Manage four markets a year for Women’s and Men’s Leather Goods, designing and presenting assortment strategies tailored to each account, informed by performance and seasonal regional strategy
  • Review the door allocation strategy and collect and process orders
  • Track and present sales on a weekly and quarterly basis, highlighting key trends and challenges. Create action plans to reach sell-through targets
  • Produce seasonal trade reports to highlight wins, challenges and opportunities
  • Develop short and mid-term plans to meet targets, and design long-term commercial plans for key accounts and commercial negotiations
  • Support the Sales Manager with regional strategies, including long-range planning
  • Develop the distribution network across key and independent accounts, onboarding new accounts and prospecting in line with regional strategy
  • Partner with the Wholesale Customer Service team to ensure the seamless execution of the full order lifecycle and conversion of the order book
  • Build cross functional relationships with Wholesale Operations, Demand Planning, Finance, Store Construction, Wholesale Customer Experience, Marketing, VM & Production
  • Own communication with Accounts Receivable on customers’ payments
  • Work with Finance on provisions, returns, staffing and terms
  • Aligning with the regional strategy, work with the Marketing team on tailored plans for key accounts. Regularly liaise to ensure media plans align with trade activity and review the marketing spend or impact at account level
  • Own seasonal and yearly OTB planning for accounts
  • Conduct regular market visits and competitor analysis, producing feedback reports that identify growth opportunities
  • Work with the Field team on floor training schedule, in-store recruitment and money mapping strategy
  • Manage the end-to-end process for new store openings, coordinating with cross-functional partners. Support the Sales Manager with CAPEX & P&L
  • Manage and update the client database where required

The accomplished individual will possess:

  • Extensive experience managing a retail wholesale business portfolio, inclusive of bricks-and-mortar POS
  • Strong sales driven mindset, highly analytical with an eye for detail and ability to translate data into actionable points
  • Highly motivated and target driven, a self-starter able to independently manage time and workload effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, including Excel & PowerPoint
  • Strong organisational, time management and written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative team player with strong passion and commitment
  • Flexibility to travel in the UK/Europe as required
  • Adaptable approach to business development, with the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
