At Accent Group, we’re driven by innovation, passionate about people, and serious about creating standout career opportunities. Whether you’re starting your retail journey or looking to grow into leadership, you’ll be part of a culture that values individuality, rewards performance, and empowers you to make your mark (in your kicks of course!)
Join the team behind two of the world’s most recognisable footwear brands: Skechers and Dr. Martens!
We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Account Manager to join our Wholesale team based in Sydney! This is an exciting field-based role for someone passionate about footwear, retail and building strong partnerships. You’ll play a key role in growing sales, strengthening customer relationships and bringing seasonal product stories and brand strategies to life across your territory.
With regular travel to visit accounts, present ranges and connect with customers, this role is ideal for someone who thrives on being out in market and enjoys creating meaningful commercial partnerships.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of wholesale accounts across both Skechers and Dr. Martens. Working closely with internal teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience, you'll ensure the successful delivery of seasonal strategies while identifying opportunities to maximise sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Present and sell future seasonal ranges while delivering brand strategies, product stories and commercial objectives to wholesale partners
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and key stakeholders across your territory
• Manage and continuously review the order book, identifying opportunities to sell available stock and drive sales outcomes
• Monitor and report on account sell-through performance and identify growth opportunities
• Deliver regular communication with accounts through showroom appointments, in-store visits, phone and video calls, online reviews and ongoing engagement
• Work collaboratively across Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience to ensure a seamless customer journey
• Support commercial negotiations and contribute to achieving key wholesale business objectives
• Stay informed on market trends, consumer behaviour and the competitive landscape within footwear and retail
• Manage travel, samples, entertainment and other business costs responsibly while operating within budgets
About You
You’re commercially minded, highly organised and naturally build strong relationships. You’re passionate about retail and brands and enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands-on account management.
You’ll bring:
• 3+ years’ experience in Sales, Wholesale or Account Management
• Strong understanding of retail, footwear and/or apparel environments
• Experience within Sports, Fashion, Footwear, Retail or related industries
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills
• Strong commercial acumen and business understanding
• A proactive and results-driven approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive growth
• A Business degree or related tertiary qualification (preferred)
• A valid Australian Driver’s Licence, with willingness to travel regularly throughout your territory
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to represent two iconic global brands while building your career within a fast-paced and collaborative wholesale environment. You’ll have the chance to work with passionate teams, build meaningful customer relationships and play a direct role in driving business success.
If you're ready to combine your love of footwear, sales and relationship management, we’d love to hear from you.
