Job Description

As a Real Estate Account Manager, you help prospect for, solicit and build lasting business relationships with members and clients. You help sell products and services and provide services that meet clients’ needs in accordance with current strategies and practices. This includes services related to renovations of commercial buildings. You develop and maintain personalized business relationships with businesses, associations and groups to make sure they’re getting the most out of our services. Effective communication skills are therefore essential. You drive results by actively helping your unit meet its sales and business development objectives. You are responsible for accounts with significant development potential for your sector. You work with clients who have specific needs, so the ability to communicate effectively and thoroughly understand the needs they express is essential. Your work and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge of your line of business. You advise and assist clients. You represent and negotiate on behalf of Desjardins and enter the organization into agreements that adhere to current processes, standards and guidelines. You also have opportunities to establish and negotiate terms and conditions for products and services. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Solicit, develop and maintain lasting personalized business relationships with clients to promote our services
  • Manage accounts, serving as the link between clients and the organization. Ensure clients have the products and services they need, are using them correctly, and are satisfied with them
  • Identify and analyze the needs of members and clients ahead of and during commercial renovations and new builds involving multiple trades. Recommend strategies and solutions to meet targets
  • Prepare integrated service offers by selecting the best entrepreneur in terms of balancing member/client satisfaction, profitability and risk. Negotiate terms and conditions
  • Carry out advisory support activities and support clients through all project phases
  • Build, maintain and develop your network of clients.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Available for travel in the Eastern Quebec region
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
