In addition to the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking role profile, the Account Manager Private Banking (AM PB) takes ownership of the account administration, documentation formalities and tasks in daily operations and projects impacting the account administration. In contrast to the Relationship Manager (RM), the AM PB does not have an own client book. The AM PB reaches out to clients where appropriate in close collaboration with the RM. He/she demonstrates excellent professional, personal as well as social skills when liaising with clients and the RM. The AM PB ensures the operational client account management and interacts with internal as well as external stakeholders independently, provides clients with relevant in- formation and supports the RM in implementing customized solutions. Furthermore, the AM PB acts as role model in bringing the best service quality to clients, RMs and Team Heads (THs) in a fast, professional and friendly manner, always living the Julius Baer values (Care, Passion, and Excellence) and thus, helping the team to manage and grow its current client base. He/she channels client feedback to the relevant individuals and departments within the Bank to foster continuous improvement and fast adaptation of processes. The AM PB shows professional commitment to ensuring excellent administration of the account, to clients as well as to the Bank and is willing to go the extra mile.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Client Administration & Management

  • Ensures that accurate and high-q uality client relationship documentation formalities are met and maintained to a high standard at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account op ening forms and other relevant legal forms
  • Actively ensures that op erational account management is undertaken pr ofessionally, with all taskssy stem alerts cleared directly where p ossib le or via RM if investment-related advice is needed
  • Where ap propr iate is p art of client meetings and even leads p arts of the meeting (eg documentation formalities, comp liance, other req uests of the client) if case allows
  • Actively maintains client key data in liaison with the RM to ensure CRM and other data sets are correct for good maintenance of the relationship
  • Interacts with clients in an indep endent and pr ofessional manner in all asp ects of account management
  • Proactively takes the lead in sup porting the RM sTH in client relationship and all related tasks (sy stems, ap plications, pr ocesses, documents etc), with high-q uality, pr ecision and timely resp onsiveness
  • Ensures op erational coverage and client interaction (not advice) within the team during ab sences
  • Comp iles pr esentations, indep endently drafts investment pr oposals and sup ports in marketing activities
  • Creates and pr ovides clients with customized information, rep orts and statistics, etc
  • M anages the RM THs calendar, pr ep ares client meetings, organizes b usiness trip s, comp letes the p ost pr ocessing of client calls, client meetings or business trips for RM sTHs on hisher own

Business Management

  • M anages the internal pr ojects which imp act the account relationships of an RM, directly solving the administrative issues that arise and ensuring that all relevant sy stems are maintained and up dated and all documentation collected as necessary
  • Collects and shares relevant information, ideas, findings and researchwith colleagues to impr ove p ro- cesses and to increase pr oductivity and q uality
  • Organises himselfherself in an efficient and comp liant manner and ensures timely and ap propriate information of the sup erior
  • Conducts reviews, p lans ahead and documents hisher own work at all times
  • Provides pr ofessional inp ut pr op osals for impr ovements b ased on exp erience, incident occurrence or ob servation
  • M anages the exp ense claim pr ocess for RMsTH pr oactively

Risk Management & Controls

  • Actively helps managing risk (sup port first line of defence), ie in client documentation, by raising concerns, following up on issues indep endently and by escalating when in doubt
  • Ensures adherence to local regulations and comp liance with internal p olicies and standards (eg new account op enings, p ay ment instructions, reviewing client p hone calls or signing off at own level of comp etence etc) in collab oration with the resp ective RMs and TH
  • Ensures timely clearance of p ending items and escalated deficiencies
  • Ensures ap propr iate ethical and comp liant b ehaviour in hisher area of resp onsib ility
  • Ensures correct, meaningful and understandable documentation of client interactionclient orders in the corresp onding tools (eg CRM, DiAS)

YOUR PROFILE

Requirements

  • Commercial apprenticeship and job related higher degree (e.g. Bachelor, CFA/AZEK/CAIA)
  • 4 - 5 years of working experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in a Bank
  • Proven track record in servicing banking clients with complex needs (on boarding of new clients, maintaining and extending current relationships)
  • Several years of experience in Compliance topics and is aware of current regulations and KYC related needs
  • Operate proficiently Microsoft Office for working on regular presentation preparations, spreadsheets
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) is a must, German and Russian are an advantage
  • Service oriented, discreet and responsible
  • Friendly, open personality, well-presented and professional appearance
  • Able to work independently, well organized, swift and accurate even when under pressure
