Job Description

What to Expect

Tesla is seeking an Account Manager for residential energy sales in Germany. Your core responsibility is B2B sales of Tesla residential and small commercial energy products, with a primary focus on Powerwall 3P — Tesla’s three-phase home battery and integrated inverter, purpose-built for the German and European grid. Following the launch of Powerwall 3P in Germany, you will scale adoption through distributors and third-party installers, grow a high-performing partner network, and drive business development in your region. We are looking for an experienced commercial professional with a background in PV or energy storage. Beyond strong execution and a team-oriented mindset, successful candidates bring creativity, passion, and the drive to lead in a fast-moving technology and market landscape.

  • This position can be based anywhere in Germany.

What You’ll Do

  • Achieve Powerwall 3P and Wall Connector sales targets within assigned channel(s) in Germany
  • Build and grow relationships across partner organizations (distributors, installers, and related channels), clearly communicating Tesla’s product portfolio, three-phase value proposition, and feature roadmap
  • Drive partner readiness and ramp for Powerwall 3P: onboarding, enablement, pipeline building, and conversion from interest to installed systems
  • Evaluate new business opportunities with existing and new accounts and/or sales channels, match suitable product offerings (including Powerwall 3P for three-phase residential and small commercial sites), and own capture of those opportunities
  • Deliver market insights to the broader business — including competitive dynamics, installer feedback, and adoption barriers/opportunities specific to three-phase storage in Germany
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams, reflecting Powerwall 3P ramp and channel mix
  • Support assessment of market dynamics across sectors (utility, C&I, residential) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, grid requirements, incentive programs)
  • Represent Tesla at sales and marketing events promoting Powerwall and Powerwall 3P
  • Identify and support initiatives that improve partner training, installation quality, fulfilment, and Tesla support — with particular focus on three-phase design, commissioning, and backup use cases
  • Provide user and customer feedback to IT on Tesla tools/systems and to Operations on processes

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in account management or channel sales within the PV or energy storage industry
  • Strong understanding of residential/small commercial energy storage, ideally including three-phase (3P) systems, hybrid inverters, and grid-tied architectures common in Germany
  • Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, grid connection practices, and relevant German/EU regulatory and incentive frameworks
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to prioritize and run multiple projects and partner workstreams in parallel
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Flexibility to travel within Germany (and occasionally the broader region)
