Veolia is looking for a Technical Account Manager to drive business growth and build relationships as a market leader dedicated to solving the toughest water and process challenges.

/Purpose

As a Technical Account Manager, you are the Veolia point of contact and expert in the field of water treatment for our industrial customers in the South East part of The Netherlands. Your mission is to guarantee quality service and product delivery to current customers, while also creating opportunities with both existing and new customers. You get energy from working autonomously and are eager to perform both commercial and hands-on work, taking on new challenges every day.

He or she reports to the Area Manager Netherlands South and will cover the regions of Limburg. The suitable candidate preferably lives in this region.

Essential responsibilities

• Managing and building relationships with existing customers is central to your role. You are responsible for the continuous follow-up of agreed-upon service, price management, and product delivery according to the correct quality standards.
• You actively focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with your regular customers and constantly chasing new opportunities.
• You seek expansion opportunities for applications and sustainability projects with both existing and new customers.
• Due to your technical attitude and hands-on approach, you perform technical work and can make necessary verbal and written recommendations to ensure problem-free operations for the customer.
• You seek the optimal solutions for our customers that are sustainable by nature.
• You easily make contacts with other departments and are thus able to efficiently fulfill customer needs with coordinated teamwork.
• As a team player, you are helpful to your colleagues and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, etc.
• Due to your high degree of independence, you create your own schedule, taking into account various customer needs and other tasks.
• You find a balance between following your schedule and the flexibility to deviate from it if priorities demand it (possibly at the last minute).
• You realize the importance of a broad and constructive network both within and outside the organization and actively invest in it yourself.
• You highly value safety and integrity and actively promote them, both within the organization and with our customers.
• You will report to the Area Manager of your region.

• You have a hands-on approach and possess technical expertise.
• Your customer-oriented mindset allows you to easily translate our commercial strategy into practice.
• You are results-oriented; business targets and objectives give you extra motivation.
• You are analytical and have initial experience with financial follow-up.
• Working independently and autonomously energizes you.
• You are socially flexible and can easily adapt to a new environment.
• A 9-to-5 job is not for you. You enjoy autonomy and the idea that you don't know in advance how your day will unfold.
• You work in a structured and orderly manner, ensuring accurate reporting skills.
• As a team player, you gladly help your colleagues.
• You are problem-solving and dare to think outside the box, always considering quality and safety rules.
• You are willing to further develop yourself and step outside your comfort zone.
• You possess a bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Applied Sciences. A chemical background is required.
• Experience in commercial or key account management and knowledge about the industry in breadth and depth is a plus.
• You can express yourself fluently in both English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing.

Additional information

This position requires travel to customer sites and involves working in various industrial environments. The successful candidate must be able to adhere to all safety protocols and be comfortable working with chemicals and industrial equipment.
