Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in technology sales or working with customers in a sales role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of school district buying cycles and budgeting processes.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education, Chromebooks, or generative AI technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute field events, while maintaining the flexibility to pivot quickly in a rapidly changing, highly collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional public speaking skills with demonstrated experience presenting to both small executive boards and large auditoriums.
  • Track record of successfully managing a high-volume territory or a large book of business while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

About the job

As a Mid Market Account Manager, you will be the advisor and face of Google for Education for approximately 300 K-12 school districts across the Eastern United States. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end sales cycle, managing a high-volume territory, and expanding Google’s footprint in the classroom and the back office. You will advocate the adoption of next-generation AI tools, hardware, and cloud software, acting as an advocate for Google’s impact on teaching and learning.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $114000 - $165000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary partner for K-12 school districts, driving full-lifecycle renewals, minimizing churn, and executing comprehensive territory plans to uncover promote and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Drive new business and manage deployments across the Google ecosystem, including securing Chromebook refreshes, upgrading Google Workspace subscriptions, and accelerating Gemini AI usage among educators and administrators.
  • Work closely with channel partners, resellers, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to facilitate seamless hardware and software deployments, ensuring a frictionless purchasing experience for school districts.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored presentations to audiences, from C-level decision-makers to entire auditoriums, translating complex technical concepts into inspiring narratives about educational impact.
  • Design, host, and represent Google at regional customer events and major EdTech conferences to build community, engage stakeholders, and generate sales pipeline.
