Role Purpose

Corning Life Sciences is seeking an Account Manager to retain and grow business across an assigned territory covering Maryland and West Virginia. In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial contact for key customers and distributors — driving new market and application development, exceeding sales targets, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver solutions that differentiate Corning Life Sciences in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed territory sales budget through proactive account management and growth-focused distribution programs
  • Develop and execute a territory sales plan targeting new customers, markets, and applications
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and internal teams including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Product, and Channel partners
  • Serve as the primary contact on contracts and significant customer projects, coordinating with senior external stakeholders on technical and commercial matters
  • Influence organizational decisions internally and externally to advance customer and business outcomes

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of sales or relevant experience in the Life Sciences market
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce (SFDC), and Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with sales and financial analysis, including trend reporting, pricing analysis, and usage reporting
  • Ability to conduct daily in-field activity with approximately 25% overnight travel within the Maryland/West Virginia territory

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Degree in a Life Sciences discipline (e.g., Cell Culture, Molecular Biology, or related field)
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in Cell Culture or Molecular Biology
  • Experience managing distribution channel relationships
  • Established familiarity with the customer base in the Maryland and/or West Virginia territory

The range for this position is $69,856.00 - $96,052.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
