YOUR OPPORTUNITY

An excellent opportunity has become available for a self-driven, passionate, and results-focused Account Manager (Mining Solutions Specialist) to join our high performing Blackwoods BHP sales team based in Mackay, QLD within our dedicated team servicing and managing the BHP/BMA relationship for Blackwoods.

Reporting to the NSAM- BHP and working locally with a peer that manages the other 50% of the BMA sites, as a team, you will deliver exceptional customer value, strengthen relationships, identify improvements, and ultimately improve customer outcomes and solutions to our customer.

Day-to-day, you will also work closely with our dedicated Customer Care team, quotes team, wider BHP Sales team interstate and locally and be on-the-road visiting site(s) and executing the current contract with BHP to required outcomes and beyond. You will be a critical part of the service offering to BMA and as such this is a very important appointment for us.

Your day-to-day:

  • Maintaining, developing, and growing key relationships within your dedicated BMA sites;
  • Developing opportunities for growth through strategic planning and fact-based analysis;
  • Achieving customer satisfaction through retention of business and growth;
  • Maintaining an effective plan for customer satisfaction and meeting contracted expectations;
  • Working collaboratively and strategically with the local Mackay, Brisbane, and Interstate team members;
  • Regular market/competitor analysis and reporting on trends and customer activities; and
  • Planning and implementing strategies based on anticipated customer needs.

 What you will bring:

  • Minimum 3 years’ B2B Account Management and/or Business Development experience (preferably in Manufacturing, Mining, Heavy Equipment, or similar industrial sectors)
  • Exceptional relationship management skills along with strong local existing relationships
  • Desire to be face-to-face with customers, and passionate about delivering effective solutions
  • Proactive and driven to not only meet but exceed customer expectations
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and able to work autonomously whilst collaborating across different teams
  • Previous exposure to industrial, safety and apparel products is advantageous
  • Team player mentality, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office proficiency and previous CRM experience
