Job Description

Position summary:

The Account Manager will be fully focused on driving new business development, identifying and securing enterprise-level clients principally across the Retail sector in the Italian market and pitching our translation and localization services as well GlobalLink technology and AI solutions.

Initially the successful candidate will manage prospection and cold outreach for lead generation to create opportunities with prospective clients. In time, they will then be involved in taking on more responsibility, leading discovery meetings, demo calls, and eventually, closing and contract execution.

The role requires a commercially-driven professional capable of engaging C-Level stakeholders in conversations around global growth, workflow modernization, and scalable content and technology solutions.

Position responsibilities:

• Identify and engage global enterprise prospects, generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, industry networking, digital outreach, and participation in trade events
• Adopt a consultative sales approach from qualification through negotiation and contract execution
• Develop an understanding of client business models and identify and pitch international growth strategies
• Position TransPerfect’s AI-enabled content, technology, and global solutions within broader digital transformation and operational initiatives
• Serve as a strategic partner for clients, aligning solutions with client needs
• Collaborate with Sales Leadership to define pricing strategies, participate in contractual discussions for complex, multi-service enterprise agreements, and conduct revenue forecasting with Accounting teams
• Collaborate with Production and Technology teams to support smooth implementations and contribute to client satisfaction
• Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new accounts, ensuring the account is set up for success with our Client Services team
• Monitor account performance and proactively identify and drive expansion opportunities through cross-sell and up-selling activities

Requirements

Essential skills & experience required:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent
• Native level of Italian
• Superior written and spoken communication skills in English
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term professional relationships
• Results-oriented and comfortable working in target-driven environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Desired skills & experience:

• Experience using CRM and sales intelligence platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Apollo, or similar tools)
• Knowledge of additional languages at professional working proficiency
• Experience in outbound Sales and Business Development activities
• Familiarity with digital ecosystems and AI-enabled solutions
